If celebrities are looking for any inspiration at the moment they’d do well to look at Johnny Depp. Thanks to his win at this week’s golden globes we know he’s got acting chops but turns out he’s also a top guy. He’s just given a £1million personal cheque to Great Ormond Street Hospital as a thank you for their help nursing his daughter back to health last year following a bout of E-Coli. This is on top of his visit to sick children at the hospital last year when entertained the kids and read them stories dressed in full Captain Jack Sparrow gear and as well as giving five of the doctors who helped his daughter the full VIP treatment at last week’s Sweeney Todd premiere. "It was the most frightening thing we have ever been through. It was hell. But the magic is that she pulled through beautifully. Great Ormond Street was terrific, a great hospital."
