Jessica Simpson’s movie Blonde Ambition has scored its first No 1 - in the Ukraine. Although it headed straight to DVD (and the straight to the bargain bin) here and in the US, the film has proved a huge success in the Eastern European country, bringing in over £125,000 in the box office. A spokesman from Box Office Mojo, who monitor the global film business, said, “The former Soviet nations have a sweet tooth for straight-up comedies. When these comedies have big name celebrities like Jessica Simpson, that's all that's needed to sell the movie.
