John and Edward Grimes have hit back at a comment made by One Show host Christine Bleakly. Sources at last month's National Television Awards claim Bleakly confronted Dublin twins John and Edward and accused them of painting "a bad picture of Ireland". However, the brothers have insisted they make great spokesmen.
"I think we are really good ambassadors for Ireland. When we went home everyone we met said they were really proud of us," Edward told the Sun. "I think it's great that we are only 18, all the way from Ireland and now we are doing so well in the UK, it's crazy."
Meanwhile, brother John has told the Metro that the twins plan to stay single. "If you think about it, our girlfriends are our fans that come to the shows. It would be weird if a girlfriend came," John explained. "It would be like dissing your fans as they are all girls. It's cool that we stay single because then they all stand a chance."
