In his book Between the Lines: My Story Uncut, the former Neighbours star describes his relationship with cocaine, his road to self-destruction and the fact that his addiction jeopardised his future with then fiancee, Angela Malloch.
'I loved my cocaine,' Jason writes.
'Line after line, gram after gram, night after night until I could physically take no more and my body would simply have to shut down, to switch itself off, so that I would stop.
'I had fallen in love with Ange and we wanted to be together but as the months went by and I carried on like this, she simply couldn't cope.'
The Australian pop star also reveals in the book that he once took so much cocaine at Kate Moss's birthday party that he had to be hospitalised.
Jason has now been clean for six years.
