Janet Jackson has avoided a $120m lawsuit stemming from an incident in 2005. Leonard Salati claimed that Janets bodyguards roughed him up after he tried to say goodnight to the singer. They were monsters, said Salati.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Jane Solomon found that Jacksons bodyguard was not the assailant and that his alleged attackers were employers of a security firm hired by the club. The judge also dismissed Salatis suit against the club, but is allowing claims against the security firm to continue.
Salari called the ruling outrageous, and said he would appeal to continue the suit against Janet.
