Months of rumours have ended with the news that James McAvoy, star of Shameless, Last King Of Scotland and Atonement, has been cast to play Kurt Cobain in a film about this life. The Nirvana singer committed suicide in 1994. The film is being produced by his widow Courtney Love and is based on the Cobain biography Heavier Than Heaven. No news yet on the rest of the cast, but Courtney has promised the film will “of course be A-list and high-end”.
