Jade Goody's mother, Jackiey, has admitted she is finding it difficult to cope with her daughter's death. Jade finally lost her battle with cervical cancer in the earlier hours of Sunday - mother's day - morning. While reading the many messages left outside Jade's Essex home Jackiey, who was by her daughter's said when she died, told well-wishers she was "not coping". When asked by press how was dealing with her loss Jackiey replied: "I'm not." Meanwhile, it's come to light that Jade's husband Jack Tweed may miss the funeral. Jack is due in court on Thursday for sentencing after being convicted of assault - his second conviction for violence in less than six months.
Magistrates have warned him they are considering sending him to prison. "It would be terrible for him if he can't go to the funeral and I believe his mother has spoken to his lawyer to ask if it possible to move the date," spokesman Max Clifford told The London Paper before speaking of his admiration for the 21-year-old. "Jack is just devastated by Jade's death, as are the whole family. The way that he has nursed her over the last couple of weeks did him great credit. He was always there for her mopping her brow, cleaning her teeth, holding her hand and smiling whenever she woke up... which of course in the last few days was less and less. But for a 21-year-old to handle that the way he did, he's done himself proud. I was 60 when my wife [Elizabeth] died and I know how difficult it is to watch someone you love slowly fade away in front of you. But he handled that with great dignity and also compassion and its quite remarkable and a real tribute to the lad."
