Terminally ill Jade Goody has been confronted in hospital by an intruder carrying a hammer, her spokesman has told Radio 1. "She [Goody] obviously freaked out," Max Clifford before explaining Jade woke to find the intruder leaning over her muttering or praying, before shouting for help. "It's very distressing, particularly when you are so weak and so vulnerable. It has made her even keener to try and get home as soon as possible." Metropolitan police confirmed a woman was taken into custody in London and found to be in possession of a hammer. She was later released without charge. Earlier in the weekend her sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, were christened by Jade's hospital bed during a "very short and emotional service".
