At least a dozen ‘inappropriate’ copies of Michael Jackson’s death certificate have been made by staff members at the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office, it has been revealed. Officials have found that the document was viewed more than 300 times within two weeks of the singer's death, with some employees taking copies. "There's only one person in the investigation of Mr Jackson who needed to have a copy of the death certificate, and that was the investigator," chief coroner investigator Craig Harvey told the Los Angeles Times. Harvey added that although using office’s Electronic Death Registration System for personal reasons was "not appropriate" and broke internal rules it wasn’t a criminal offence.
