Jack Tweed has become a target for fellow prison inmates who believe he is receiving special treatment behind bars, sources have told The Mirror. Jack, currently on remand following allegations he was involved in sexual assault, is being regularly checked on by wardens who fear he could commit suicide. "He has been put on an unusually tight watch and has to be checked on every 20 minutes which is virtually unheard of. He told psychiatrists he wanted to end it all. He is very depressed. If the mental health team are invoking that kind of thing it means they take his threat very seriously," a prison source explained who added that a visiting order for Tweed's family was rushed through. "That caused uproar [amongst the other inmates]. He also refused to go into the sex offenders' unit saying, 'I'm not a nonce'. Prisoners are calling him a bacon, slang for sex offender, and keep shouting what they'll do to him." Jacks lawyer told press this weekend that Tweed will "vigorously deny" the allegation made against him.
