The Latin singer, who has sold 50 million records to date, has apparently agreed to perform with the girls when they play in the States, kicking off in Los Angeles on December 7th.
Lopez's friendship with Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham, is thought to be one reason why the successful singer was keen to join the British band's reunion gigs.
"I'd love to get back out there on tour and I'd really like to perform on the same stage as the Spice Girls," said Lopez, reports People magazine.
"Even before we were friends, Posh was always my favourite."
The girls, who released their first chart-topping hit Wannabe in 1996, are set to begin training for the tour next month. Their new routines are rumoured to be including striptease, pole-dancing and will feature ten male dancers.
