Hills star slammed for no-show

Lauren Conrad has been criticised for skipping a charity event.

Hills star Lauren Conrad has received a wave of negative press after having a "diva fit and walking out" of charity event she was hosting in New York. LA based Lauren was flown in to the Big Apple to be the star of Animal Fair magazine's ninth Paws For Style benefit, but left after walking the red carpet, finding the experience "humiliating" Perez Hilton claims. "Animal Fair funded her trip to New York City to come support Paws For Style. Instead, she partied all week in NY and the Hamptons and failed to walk the runway for the big event," a source claims. Animal Fair's editor in chief Wendy Diamond was none too pleased either. "100 per cent of the proceeds from Paws For Style go to the Humane Society of New York, we do not take a penny.
