Heather Mills is planning a £250,000 holiday on Richard Branson’s Necker Island to say thanks to friend who supported her through her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney, the Sunday Mirror reports. “Heather was insistent she wanted somewhere she couldn’t be photographed,” a source told the paper. And while she was recently awarded a whopping £24.3m divorce settlement Heather also claims to be financing the trip herself. “She didn’t care about the cost, all that mattered was they’d be completely alone. She said she was going to re-mortgage one of her houses to pay for it, although no one believed that for a moment. She felt, ‘Why should I wait for the money to come through’ and just booked it,” said the friend. “She knows she’s not exactly going to be scraping for cash in a few months.” According to insiders the group will fly Upper Class on Virgin from Gatwick to Antigua at a cost of more than £2,000 per person. Once there they will transfer to a private plane to take them to a tiny British Virgin Island of Virgin Gorda before switching to motorboats for the final 30-minute crossing to Necker Island.
