The High Court has awarded Heather Mills £24.3m in the divorce settlement with ex-husband Sir Paul McCartney. As part of the deal Heather Mills will receive a £16.5million lump which will include £2.5million to buy a London home, £7.8million in assets and £35,000 a year, plus nanny and school fees for daughter Beatrice. Speaking outside court Heather said she was, “Glad it's over. It’s an incredible result to secure mine and my daughter's future,” before going on to offer advice to anyone else going through their divorce. However she did explain she planned to appeal the decision. “I'm not appealing against the judgment because it's not worth it," she said. “I'm appealing against the publication of it because it has so many details of me and my daughter in it. It has a stay on it until the appeal tomorrow.” A spokesman for Sir Paul McCartney said he wouldn’t be commenting on the settlement.
