Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old daughter of Achy Breaky Heart star Billy Ray, has apologised to fans for a racy photo shoot that appears in the new issue of Vanity Fair. The pictures were taken by legendary snapper Annie Leibovitz and seem to show the teen star posing topless hidden by a sheet. “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Miley explained. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologise to my fans who I care so deeply about.” And Miley's employers, Disney, aren't best pleased either. A spokesman for the company said, "Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines." However, Vanity Fair tell different story. "Miley’s parents and/or minders were on the set all day,” a spokesman for the magazine told the New York Times. "Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley."
