Geri Halliwell has confirmed she is engaged to her boyfriend of just over a month, Italian shipping tycoon, Fabrizio Politi. The pair met in December at the opening of the world’s first Cavalli club in Florence and have recently just returned from a romantic break in the Maldives. “We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi,” a statement from the former Spice Girls’ management read. “As a token of their commitment to each other Fabrizio presented Geri with an engagement ring over the festive season. There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement.” Friends have told the Daily Mail though they believe this is the real thing. “They spent as much time as possible with each other over Christmas and the New year,” a source claimed. “It’s definitely the real deal. Geri can’t believe how well they get on. Fabrizio is great with her daughter.”
