George Michael has been charged with possession of cannabis and driving while unfit through drink or drugs, a spokesman for Scotland Yard has told BBC News. Michael - real name Georgios Panayiotou, was arrested on 4 July after allegedly crashing his Range Rover into a branch of photographic shop Snappy Snaps. George had been on bail since his arrest but reported to a police station in Camden earlier today to be formally charged. George will appear before magistrates on 24 August.
