Boyzone star Stephen Gately made peace with his mother after a 10-year rift just weeks before his death, Reveal magazine reports. Gately's feud with his mother was said to have started after she spoke to a paper about his sexuality on the day he came out as gay in 1999. However, shortly before his tragic death Stephen admitted the row had been about "the silliest thing" and he and his mum had finally made up. "I told her that I was in the wrong and I should never have let it get that far," Stephen admitted. "There were tears and I told her I loved her very much and I'd always be there for her. The fallout started over the silliest thing - it was just some crazy argument we had once. My brother rang me up and told me to pull myself together and make it up to mum. So I got on the plane to Dublin, turned up at her house and said, 'I'm sorry'. It was very emotional."
