The aspiring rapper is reported to have impressed the show's producers with his acting skills when he appeared in the drama in a one-off cameo performance.
Federline, who is currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with troubled pop star Britney, made his acting debut in 2006 with a small part in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
He has now revealed that he may put his music career on hold to concentrate on his One Tree Hill job.
'I've had a great time doing it I didn't really know I'd have as much fun as I did doing it,' he said.
'I've shot two already and I've got to go out and shoot one more... We'll see where it takes me.
'I like doing it all. Music is a passion to me but I'm finding my passion in acting right now.'
