Lindsay Lohan’s surprising appointment as Ungaro’s artistic director had nothing to do with the label’s CEO’s decision to resign, Women’s Wear Daily reports. Actress Lindsay’s new job caused dismay and derision within the fashion world earlier this year. Contact Music reported that following terrible reviews of the appointment and their Paris Fashion Week show, the company's chairman Asim Abdullah had asked CEO Mounir Moufarrige to end Lohan's contract. However, last month Moufarrige revealed the actress will continue to work for Ungaro. He resigned soon after. "It's my decision," Moufarridge explained of his decision to leave Ungaro. "It's not a total departure, except for operational duties. The resignation has nothing to do with Lindsay Lohan at all. The strategy is set for Ungaro and that's it."More celebrity gossip on handbag.com.
