Eminem has revealed he felt like a young child again after conquering his addiction to prescription medication. Eminem was treated for his addiction in 2009 and admitted getting clean left him feeling giddy. "I almost felt like everything was new to me again," he explained during an interview on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show. "The recording process was new, trees were new to me, nature - things that I never would appreciate before, I started learning to appreciate. I felt like I was born again, so everything was all new, I was like a brand new baby.
"I got very happy with my sobriety and I started to get very giddy, so everything was just like a lot of laughter that replaced a lot of that sadness," he added. "I was laughing again, I was joking again, so I feel like I was a little happy almost to the point where I was giddy, so those are the kind of records I was making. Now that I've settled into sobriety, I feel like I'm going back to normal."
