A few weeks ago Ellen DeGeneres and partner Portia De Rossi adopted a dog, Iggy, from the Mutts And Moms rescue centre. But when the dog struggled to get used to living in their house, DeGeneres gave him to her hairdresser’s family. When she told the centre the dog had a new home, they called the cops and had the puppy forcibly removed from the family, telling DeGeneres that the dog should have been returned to them in the event of a problem - as stated in the adoption papers. When Ellen went on TV and begged (Watch it here) the group to return the dog, viewers became so angry that they swamped Mutts And Moms with so much hate mail that DeGeneres had to go on air again and plead with them to stop (Watch it here).
