Police in Los Angeles have linked Corey Haim's death last week to a major drug ring, the BBC reports. The Lost Boys actor died at a California hospital on Wednesday of an apparent overdose, although the County coroner has yet to officially announce the cause of death. However, California Attorney General Jerry Brown has said the actor's name was found on records during an investigation into a group who obtained illegal prescriptions. "Corey Haim's death is yet another tragedy linked to the growing problem of prescription drug abuse," Mr Brown said. "This problem is increasingly linked to criminal organisations, like the illegal and massive prescription drug ring under investigation."
