Double honours for Amy Winehouse

The 'Rehab' singer marked her return to health by performing two songs at the MOBO Awards, which honour music of black origin. She also picked up the best female prize at the ceremony.

Winehouse, who has developed a reputation for cancelling performances, lived up to her promise to perform at the ceremony at the O2 Arena as she sang 'Tears Dry On Their Own' and 'Me and Mrs Jones' at the show.

The big winner at the MOBO awards, though, was newcomer Neyo, who scooped both the R&B and Best Song awards. Rapper Dizzee Rascal clinched the Best Male award, while American rapper Kanye West won Best Video of the Year for 'Stronger'.

As expected, rapper 50 Cent did not attend the show, after announcing that he was cancelling his European tour.

He recently vowed to retire as a solo artist if his album 'Curtis' was outsold by West's 'Graduation' - an event that has transpired and may force the singer to limit his career to collaborations and producing records.

Winehouse also won the Best Female Performer gong at the Vodafone Live Music awards, which were held at the same time last night. The ceremony, which honours live performers, named the Arctic Monkeys as the Best Live Act and Mika as the Best Live Male Act.ADNFCR-1241-ID-18286848-ADNFCR
