Dannii Minogue has confirmed she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith. via an announcement on Twitter this morning. Dannii told her Twitter followers, “Woo hoo I’m gonna be a mummy! :-)!” following the results of her 12-week scan.
X Factor judge Dannii, 38, and former rugby league player Kris Smith, 31, are “very excited” about the baby, due in July according to a spokesman for the couple. “Dannii and Kris are very excited and can’t wait to star their family in 2010. Rumours and stories surfaced across the weekend about Dannii being pregnant and having already had her 12-week scan. These stories are incorrect. Dannii had her 12-week scan this week and was given the results today with the all clear to make an announcement.” The baby is due in July.
Rumours spread that the couple were expecting a child when Dannii was pictured in Melbourne with signs of a baby bump, but the star was reluctant to confirm her pregnancy before having the scan.
