Christian Bale defended again

Actress Bryce Dallas Howard has become the latest star to speak out in defence of Batman star Christian Bale.

The Village star Bryce Dallas Howard has dismissed rumours The Dark Knight star Christian Bale is difficult to work with. Howard plays his wife in new film Terminator: Salvation and has joined director McG in slamming reports of on-set temper tantrums from the Welsh star. “This man is just a gentleman, an amazing person. I adore him and I just can't wait to be with him next week,” she told press. “John Connor [Bale’s character in the Terminator film] is a very intense character and so misinterpretations could happen, but every experience I've had with Christian has been like, 'I'm not worthy to be in your presence.' I have not had an experience like this before with an actor.” Last week his former assistant Harrison Cheung described Bale as a “deeply troubled soul”.
