Chris Brown has suggested that ex-girlfriend Rihanna should have kept quiet about the details of their dispute in February. Brown admitted physically assaulting Rihanna in Los Angeles earlier this year after the pair left a pre-Grammys party. After striking a plea bargain in June, Brown was sentenced to five years' probation and 1,440 hours of community service. However, following Rihanna's interview last week with Good Morning America, where she spoke publicly for the first time about the incident, Brown has said his ex should not have talked about the dispute.
"I maintain my position that all of the details should remain a private matter between us. I do appreciate her support and wish her the best," Brown explained during the MTV News special Chris Brown: The Interview before revealing what he was thinking during the attack. "Just anger. Yeah, anger. Young people, we do before we think."
