Cheryl Cole will blame estranged husband Ashley Cole's "unreasonable behaviour" as the reason for a divorce, rather than his alleged infidelities, insiders have told the Daily Mail. Sources say Cheryl is receiving advice from celebrity divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton - who has previously represented Sir Paul McCartney and Prince Charles - and has been told Ashley is likely to formally deny any wrongdoing. "Cheryl is being told she should not drag this through the courts. Lawyers for Ashley could build a case that she wasn't the perfect wife either," an insider told the paper. "She has hardly seen him for months on end due to work, her mother Joan's presence in the house has hardly been conducive to romance, she might occasionally have been demanding and moody. We know she can also have a difficult side. This is the girl who was found guilty of punching a nightclub toilet attendant."
Meanwhile, an insider has told the Sun that Cheryl's relationship with will.i.am - who yesterday called news of Cheryl and Ashley split "great" - had put pressure on her relationship with Ashley before their split. "will.i.am's comments about his wife are not news or a surprise to Ashley. He and Cheryl rowed about it last year," a source explained. "She's done absolutely nothing wrong but Ashley's sick of this man openly making advances toward his missus."
