Cheryl Cole has said she thought the song Love Machine was “crap” when it was first presented as a single for Girls Aloud. The single went on to chart at No 2 but Cheryl has admitted on first listen she wasn’t enamoured. "I remember listening to Love Machine and thinking, 'We cannot put this crap out,'” she told Q magazine. “That’s what I said to the label: it sounds like something Busted would do!"
Cheryl went on to discuss her long-running feud with Lily Allen, who in 2007 she famously called a ‘chick with a dick’. "She called my husband 'horrendous'," Cheryl explained. "Then she called Nicola 'ugly'. For another female artist to call you ugly is so awful. I feel very protective of [Nicola] and if that means I’m going to call Lily ‘whatever’, then I don’t care!"
