A nude photograph of a pre-fame
Madonna is estimated to fetch around £10,000 at an auction next month, Christie’s announced this week. The shot came about when, in 1979, Madonna replied to a newspaper advert by American photographer Lee Friedlander. “This picture is probably the most explicit shot taken,” commented Matthieu Hummery, head of Christie’s photography department. Thankfully, these days Madonna’s is more accustomed to posing in a leotard than in her birthday suit.

Bride Wars star has admitted that she loves posing nude, and plans to take her clothes off for the camera more often. “It’s fun,” the actress told MTV. “I’ve come to appreciate the skill of the photographer. It’s a real art. I’m very interested in that side of it.” Although, we’re not sure why Kate feels that she has to bare all to learn more about the photography process, we think someone might be spinning her a line.

Lily Allen caused headlines after being named in the mega-divorce between artist Sam Taylor-Wood and millionaire businessman Jay Joplin (45). Pictures of the two surfaced getting cosy in the Caribbean over the New Year holiday. Insiders now believe that a financial settlement between the feuding couple could reach as much as £147m. As if the little madam hadn’t caused enough trouble, she then announced that her record company didn’t pay her enough – all the more reason to date a multi-millionaire as far as we’re concerned. “I don’t make any money at all from selling an album, which is probably why I feel so angry about doing all this promotion because I am not earning any money out of it, someone else is and they don’t have to live with the lasting effects,” Lily told Q radio. It’s a tough job being a celebrity, but somebody has to do it.

Kelly Osbourne’s life is just so rock ‘n’ roll. This week she was arrested for allegedly assaulting a journalist. The some-time presenter is reported to have slapped the
Mirror showbiz columnist Zoë Griffin in London’s Punk nightclub after she quipped in the paper that Kelly’s new boyfriend Luke Worrall didn’t know what an earthquake was. “Kelly shouted loudly in my ear, ‘ I have an issue with you. Everyone has been laughing at my boyfriend’ and then I felt a hard slap,” said Griffin. Police confirmed Osbourne had voluntarily attended a police station earlier this month.

Just my cat, Kitty Purry.” She’s such a tease that Katy Perry, she brings out a song called I Kissed A Girl, and then tells everyone that her lips are a no-go area.

Pop-star-on-a-comeback Britney Spears is rumoured to be about to cancel her £100m comeback tour. She’s reportedly not enjoying being back on top, and would rather just spend some time at home with the kids. “She’s already exhausted getting in shape for the trip. And her focus has changed, too – Britney just wants to be a stay-at-home mom to her two boys.” a source told the National Enquirer. But if she does pull-out of her tour the starlet has nothing to worry about, she’s said to be on the verge of signing a £10m deal to write her autobiography. “Some of the stories she’s got are absolute dynamite,” another source told the Mirror, “She’s kept diaries so there’s nothing she’ll leave out unless she wants to.” We can’t wait!

It appears Victoria Beckham might think she’s had a bum deal. The world’s most famous WAG wanted Armani photographers against taking pictures of her bottom at a recent underwear shoot, sources have told the Daily Express. “Victoria’s bum is a no-go area. She made it clear to those working on the shoot that her bottom is not to be highlighted” an insider explained. And apparently Victoria has the same hang-ups as the rest of us girls, “she adores the pics but is extremely critical of her body and finds faults with everything.”

It’s been a tough week for
Kelly Brook. She became the fourth judge on Simon Cowell’s Britain’s Got Talent and then after just six days found herself being sacked from the show and told she’d still receive full payment of her £100,000 contract from ITV. Nice!
Simon Cowell has reportedly said he feels “very bad” for sacking Kelly after just six days, and his publicist Max Clifford set the record straight, “Simon just feels very bad because it’s been made to seem as if she failed and she didn’t fail.” the PR mogul told the Mirror. Kelly famously resigned from the Big Breakfast in 1999, when she was just 19, after she came under pressure for allegedly stumbling over her words and scriptwriters needing to keep long-words away from her autocue.
