Jade Goody
After a fight with cervical cancer brave Jade Goody died in her sleep on Sunday morning. The star died at her home in Upshire, Essex, at 3:14am on Mother’s Day, with her mother, Jackiey Budden, at her side. Standing outside of her home on Sunday morning, Mrs Budden said, “My beautiful daughter is at peace. Family and friends would like privacy at last.” Details of Jade’s illness were chronicled in detail by the tabloid press, and she was hailed a hero for raising awareness of cervical cancer and increasing the number of young women going for screenings by up to 50% in some cases. Jade will never be forgotten; she lived her life in the fast-lane and was the first ever Big Brother made millionaire after her time in the house in 2002. A funeral has been planned for the 4th April. Jade’s newly wed husband Jack Tweed paid tribute to his late wife this week. “I’ve had to do so much growing up these last few months…Jade and I went through so much together,” he told The Sun. Jade leaves behind her two sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Jeff Brazier, her newly-wed husband Jack Tweed and her mother Jackiey Budden.

Madonna
One things for sure – if you apply to work for Madonna the last thing that you can expect the job to be is predictable. At least that’s the lesson that one of her staff reportedly found out this week. The Australian nanny of David Banda, Madge’s adopted son, was told to leave immediately after handing in her notice, sources told the Daily Mail. “The rumour is that Madonna was furious that Angela [David’s nanny] was leaving and dismissed her before she had the chance to complete her full notice,” an insider explains. “All Madonna’s employees work incredibly long hours, so it’s no surprise that Angela had had enough. If you work for Madonna you are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There’s no such things as a weekend.” “I do not comment on household issues,” Madonna’s spokesman said when asked about the rumours. “But I can assure you that David and Madonna’s other two children are very well taken care of at all times.”

Michael Jackson
Last week Madonna admitted she would consider adopting again if the people of Malawi gave her their blessing, now Michael Jackson has stepped up to the plate and jumped on the “I’m going to adopt” celebrity bandwagon. The singer has reportedly made contact with a British adoption agency, with plans to extend his family, sources have told the Sunday Express. “Contact has been made with an adoption agency in Britain which has a very good reputation,” an insider claims. “He feels he has shaken off the sex abuse allegations. It is a new beginning.” We’re not saying a word. Other Michael Jackson news this week suggests that the singer has asked concert organisers to find an elephant he can ride in his upcoming O2 arena stage show. Insiders told the Mirror the singer is planning a jungle theme for his comeback dates and has also requested the use of a panther, snakes, tropical birds and three monkeys. “For the jungle section, he wants to ride out on an African elephant with panthers led on gold chains,” a source claims. “Parrots and other birds will fly behind him. If it goes to plan it will look incredible.” And if it doesn’t? We bet his insurers are having a hard time sleeping right now.

Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham has reportedly fallen out with husband David’s mother, sources told the Daily Mail this week. The pair are said to have come to blows over arrangements for Posh’s three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. “Victoria had been house hunting in Milan,” an insider explained. “But the Sandra [David’s mother] decided that she wanted to be at her daughter’s birthday, so Victoria had to fly back early. Sandra and Victoria had a row.” A spokesperson for Victoria was quick to insist that there had been no row. “Victoria never leaves her children for more than a week. The dates had already been organised with Sandra.” Nice to know that no matter how successful you are, you can still have a nightmare mother-in-law.

Agyness Deyn and Albert Hammond Jr
Rumours circling the Internet claim loved-up couple Albert Hammond Jr and Agyness Deyn called it a day this week. And we’re heartbroken. The model and musician, who met last May at the American NME awards and fell head over heels in love, would often take our minds off the pending economic crisis with cute photographs of them canoodling, riding around on bicycles and generally acting fabulous in New York. Their relationship is said to have turned sour in the wake of a US Vogue Valentine’s themed fashion shoot, which they both starred in. Posing as the most loved-up couple on the planet has signalled the death knell for many celebrity relationships, perhaps US Vogue’s Bloody Valentine shoot would be a better title. We just need to find a replacement couple crush quick!

Herbie actress Lindsay Lohan suggested her fans are hurting her career, or what’s left of it, this week. The star claimed her fans’ interest in her personal life and relationships had taken away from her abilities as an actress. “I just want to live the dream that I’ve worked so hard for since I was four years old,” she desperately explained to E! News. “If people would just leave my personal life alone – because it’s really not that interesting – then I could land a great role.” Somehow we doubt it.

Britney Spears
Comeback queen Britney Spears has paid a hefty sum to get her star back into the right kind of spotlight. The Los Angeles Times claims Spears has paid £1.8 million to legal eagles since her father Jamie was handed control of her affairs. The paper reported that no fewer than 17 different law firms have been involved in Britney’s professional and personal life since a judge decided that she was unfit to manage her own business. According to accounts filed in Los Angeles’ Superior Court this week, Spears’ estate paid out a minimum of $2.7million (£1.8million) in legal fees and cost in the first 11 months of her conservatorship, $1million. (£686,000) of which was to attorneys representing her father Jamie. “Since the initiation of the conservatorship, as a result of the concerted efforts of Mr. Spears as well as all the professionals involved, all aspects of Ms.Spears’s life have been stabilised and continue to improve,” Jamie’s lawyer Geraldine Wyle, also on the payroll, explained, adding Britney’s career “had been revitalised”, she’d regained “substantial visitation” with her children and her mental health continued to “mend”.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is making partner Brad Pitt sleep in another room after catching him massaging one of their nannies earlier this month, Star magazine claimed this week. “Angie is still very angry over the nanny thing. Right now, the separate bedrooms arrangement seems to be the best thing for them. Brad doesn’t want to face her cold fury every night,” an insider says. “Brad is so unhappy about sleeping solo that he’s even taken to ‘camping out’ with the kids in sleeping bags inside little tents in their rooms. He tells the it’s because Mommy’s working late again, but it’s really because she banned him from their bedroom.” Good to know even the most beautiful woman on the planet gets a little jealous sometimes.
