Tyra Banks

celebrity news, perez hilton, celebrity pictures, tyra banks, celebrity lives Tyra Banks In scenes that wouldn’t have looked out of place in a Return Of The Blob-type horror movie, an audition for Tyra BanksAmerica’s Next Top Model turned into chaos last weekend, leaving six people injured and three arrested, the BBC reports. Thousands were queuing outside of a Manhattan hotel when things turned ugly and the crowd fled the scene, creating a model stampede. Sources told gossip blogger Perez Hilton the trouble started when a car misfired and someone shouted, “It’s a bomb”. Two women and a man were arrested on charges of inciting to riot and disorderly conduct. Tyra has said she was “concerned” after the day’s event and police cancelled the audition. “We are concerned by the events. We still don’t know all the details of what triggered the incident,” the show’s producer Ken Mok said in a statement.

Freida Pinto

Eva Green, daniel Craig,Halle Berry, celebrity news, celebrity pictures, james bond, celebrity lives,Ursula Andress,Freida Pinto Freida Pinto Following in the footsteps of Halle Berry, Eva Green and Ursula Andress, Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto is being touted as the next Bond Girl. Or at least that’s what insiders have told The Sun. The actress has reportedly been asked to test out for a role in the as-yet untitled film after originally trying out for last year’s Quantum Of Solace. “She was too young at the time to play a love interest for a secret agent. But she is ready now,” a source explained. “She has blossomed into an incredibly stunning young woman and would look perfect on Daniel Craig’s arm.” And rumours that Danny Boyle is lined up to direct the next Bond film could help her chances. However, last week a spokesperson for the director shot down reports he was due to direct, stating that Danny was “naturally flattered” to be thought of.

Jade Goody

celebrity news, celebrity pictures, jade goody, celebrity lives Jade Goody Jade Goody bravely told her sons that she is about to die, in a conversation most parents dread giving to their children, especially when they are at such a young age. Jade explained the situation to Bobby, five and Freddy, four after returning home last Thursday. An early Mother’s Day celebration at her home was cancelled after her condition worsened. “It’s not day by day now, it’s more like hour by hour,” Jade’s mum Jackiey explained. Max Clifford, Jade’s publicist commented on the reality TV star’s meeting with her sons, “She saw them and smiled. She is unconscious most of the time now. The more sedation you have, the less you are aware of what’s going on. Jade is ready now. She’s done what she set out to do – she got married, was christened and has paved the way for the boys to understand that she is going to die and will soon be living in heaven. She has put her house in order and faced up to everything in an incredibly brave way.” OK! magazine came under scrutiny this week when they published a tribute issue to Jade, before she had passed away.  The magazine defended their decision to print the tribute issue, after a spokesman for the Press Complaints Commission confirmed they have received dozens of complaints from people concerned by the magazine’s latest issue whose cover features the lines ‘Jade Goody 1981-2009’ and an interview sold as ‘her final words’. A spokesperson for OK! has called the issue a “celebration of Jade’s life” and stated that Jade’s family had contacted the magazine to confirm that they understand the tribute issue, and they are grateful for the support that OK! has provided the family.

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse, celebrity news, celebrity pictures, celebrity lives Amy Winehouse Amy Winehouse is another celebrity that seems to be in trouble with the law. Amy has pleaded not guilty to an assault in a London court. The Rehab singer was accused of attacking a photo-seeking fan at a charity ball in Berkeley Square, London, on 26 September last year. Amy voluntarily attended a police station on 6 March for questioning about the incident and was charged with assault. “She was charged with common assault and will attend a court hearing in the coming weeks.” Winehouse recently returned to Britain following a two-month break in St Lucia.

Kanye West

celebrity news, kanye west, celebrity pictures, celebrity lives Kanye West In a week for celebrities getting in trouble with the law, Kanye West has been charged for his part in an airport bust-up. The hip-hop star has been charged with three offences for his part in an altercation with a paparazzi photographer at Los Angeles airport. West was caught on camera in September snatching and breaking the photographer’s camera. Kanye’s manager has also been charged with the same three offences – vandalism, battery, and grand theft. If convicted of all the charges, Kanye could face up to two years and six months in prison. And we met he’d go down a storm with his inmates.

Madonna

Madonna, celebrity news, celebrity pictures, guy ritchie, celebrity lives Madonna Having not learnt her lesson the last time, Madonna has put herself in the media’s firing line once again and hinted that she is planning to adopt another Malawian child. Madonna and then-husband Guy Ritchie adopted David Banda from the African country in 2006 and the icon has suggested that she is considering doing it again. “Many people - especially our Malawian friends – say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister,” Madonna told Malawi’s the Nation newspaper. “It’s something I have been considering, but would only do, if I had the support of the Malawian people and the government.”

Natasha Richardson

celebrity news, celebrity pictures, liam neeson, celebrity lives,Natasha Richardson Natasha Richardson In possibly the most shocking news of the week, it was announced that Natasha Richardson died from the injuries that she sustained while skiing on 16 March. The actress, who was married to actor Liam Neeson, fell on a beginner’s slope at Mont Tremblant resort near Quebec, Canada. Initially she showed no sign of injury, but after complaining of a headache was taken to a nearby hospital before being flown to the Lennox Hill Hospital in New York in a critical condition, and passed away on 18 March. Her husband and the couple’s two children – Michael, 13 and Daniel, 12, - said they are devastated. “Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha,” Neeson’s publicist Alan Nierob said. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
