Chris Brown said that he was sorry for his part in last week’s alleged attack on
Rihanna. The R&B star handed himself into police on Sunday 8 February after officers responded to an emergency call. His girlfriend Rihanna was taken to the emergency room of the Cedars Sinai Medical Center with reports claiming she suffered two “huge contusions” on both sides of her forehead, a bloody lip and nose. Brown said, “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counselling of my pastor, my mother and other loves and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.” The funny thing is that Chris didn’t mention Rihanna’s name once in his apology and she still hasn’t been seen since the incident.

Sunday nite I came home from the grammy’s still in the mood to party. I couda easily gone but I went home instead, lucky I did!! Coz my early stage labour kicked in around 2am.” It seems that the star was getting itchy feet in hospital though, as she blogged, “Me and baby are putting our tour dates for 2010 together and making mix tapes and figuring out ways to break out of hospital!” Congratulations, MIA!

Whitney Houston at a recent Roberto Cavalli fashion shoot. Sources told the New York Post that Kate arrived at the LA Photo session “two hours late” and in a grumpy mood. First off Kate demanded a beer and guzzled her way through a few cans. “When it was time for the shoot, she sat on the male model’s lap but ignored him – didn’t say one word to anyone – and then, when her pictures were done, walked out.” Forgive us for saying – but couldn’t Moss have just been being efficient, no point in wasting Cavalli or that male model’s time now is there? She’s a taken woman now, don’t ya know? Moss also denied rumours that she is pregnant in an interview with New York Magazine, and explained that she has simply gained a few pounds. Although we know that these rumours are just going to surface again next month.

Salma Hayek has married French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault. Salma’s publicist, Cari Ross, said the happy couple were married in Paris on Valentine’s Day but gave no further details. Salma and Francois – chief executive of the French luxury retail group PPR SA, owner of high-end labels Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Puma – were engaged in early 2007 and have one daughter, Valentina, born in September of the same year.

Isla Fisher had to defend her new film this week, after it was suggested that it might not be appropriate to bring out a film about a woman who loves to shop and is thousands of pounds in debt, what with the current economic climate. “The character is learning lessons about consumption and debt like the rest of us right now,” Isla explained at the London premiere. “It feels fairly topical. Obviously the movie was conceived during a different economic period but she learns her lesson. It is a redemption story.” Nice save, Isla!

Jade Goody has made one more step towards securing her son’s financial futures by signing a £700,000 deal with OK! magazine for the exclusive rights to her wedding. The former Big Brother star, who was recently told she had just months to live due to terminal cancer, will marry her boyfriend Jack Tweed at Down Hall country house in Hatfield Heath, Hertfordshire on Sunday. “There is such a lot of interest in this wedding because Jade is such a popular person and I think people do want to be there on the day with us.” OK!’s associate editor Phillip Gould said. “All of the money that Jade will get will go into a trust fund for her two boys.” He added that the wedding will feature in next week’s issue of the magazine. Heart-warming news hit the headlines this week when it was revealed the extent some celebrities have gone to to try and make Jade’s last few weeks as easy as possible.
Elton John was reported to have offered Jade his Windsor mansion for the pair to host their wedding ceremony and offered Jade his Spanish villa, should she wish to escape, while Mohammed Al Fayed gave Jade the wedding dress she chose from Harrods as a wedding gift for the pair.
