Shocking news hit the headlines this week after
Chris Brown allegedly assaulted singer girlfriend
Rihanna on 8 February leaving her with “horrific” injuries. Both parties separately pulled out of the Grammy awards later that evening, where they were scheduled to perform and Chris was nominated for two awards. A fellow patient at the Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Medical Centre claimed to have heard the singer “screaming”. Brown later handed himself into the LA Police Department. Jay Z, Rihanna’s mentor, has also reportedly waded in, having “hit the roof” when he heard the news. An insider told Us Weekly magazine, “Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.” Rihanna is yet to surface, having gone into hiding since the incident.

Jade Goody had emergency surgery to remove a tumour from her bowel this week, her spokesperson Max Clifford confirmed. “As you would imagine she’s very sore and tender,” Clifford told The People, before saying doctors had managed to remove the tumour without damaging her bowel. “My biggest fear was that I would have to have a colostomy bag,” Jade told the magazine. “I’ve dealt with losing my hair – but a poo bag, that really would have been the final indignity for a woman. But, like everything else, I’d have coped because I have to. Where there’s life there’s hope. That is what I am clinging on to.”
