Robbie Williams gets marriage refusal

Robbie Williams’ girlfriend, actress Ayda Field, has said that she won’t marry the former Take That star. The People newspaper reported Robbie was planning to marry Ayda. “He talks a lot about them getting married and has even suggested that they are engaged,” a source said. However Ayda said ‘no’ having watched her mother go through two painful divorces. “Ayda loves Robbie with all her heart and would do anything for him apart from walk down the aisle,” a source explained to More! magazine. We’ll marry you Robbie! We’re not afraid of sloppy seconds.

Jude Law paternity confirmed

We bet Jude Law’s feeling a little bit sheepish. It’s been confirmed that he is the biological father of ex-girlfriend Samantha Burke’s baby, the News Of The World reports. Jude reportedly refused to see his new daughter, Sophia, until his paternity was confirmed and lawyers are now said to be arranging a secret meeting. “Burke never had any doubt about the results,” a source revealed. “But is obviously relieved. She knows some people have been questioning her.”

Spice Girls not reforming

Emma Bunton has denied rumours that there will be a Spice Girls reunion in 2010. “Despite what you may have read, there’s no truth in the rumour that the Spice Girls are reuniting to launch the World Cup next year,” Emma wrote in her column for Now magazine. Rumours that the chart-topping girl band might be about to reform  started when the girls were spotted on a night out, albeit minus Posh Spice. The girls, headed up by Mel B, were said to be keen to make an appearance at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa before touring the world. “This time next year at least four of the five girls will be back on stage doing the Spice material again,” a source told the Sun. “When Geri left the first time, she was arguably the band’s biggest star. If they coped without her, they are confident they can make it work without Posh.”

Bruce Forsyth clarifies Strictly race row comments

Veteran TV host Bruce Forsyth has had to clarify comments he made about Anton Du Beke’s “Paki” remark to Strictly partner Laila Rouass. Bruce made the comments while speaking to radio station TalkSport earlier in the week. The Strictly judge said that we should move on, and in days gone by the slip-up would have been treated in a more light-hearted manner. “We used to have a sense of humour about this. At one time American’s used to call us ‘limeys’ which doesn’t sound very nice, but we used to laugh about it. Everyone has a nickname. And Anton is such a sweet guy, it’s such a terrible shame.” Bruce then released a statement through the BBC on Thursday, after TalkSport received over 600 complaints, explaining, “What Anton said to Laila was wrong and he has apologised unreservedly for this.
\"Nor do I in any way excuse or condone the use of such language. To be absolutely clear, the use of racially offensive language is never either funny or acceptable.”

Kevin McGee\'s suicide was not revenge

The former-husband of comedian Matt Lucas did not kill himself to get revenge on his ex-partner, a friend has told the Mirror. The 32-year-old, who was found hanged in his flat on Monday, told pals he “still loved” the Little Britain actor, but was no longer pained by their break-up. “Kevin would never have done this to get back at Matt,” the friend, who did not want to be named, said. “He never wanted to hurt him.” Lucas pulled out of his theatre role on Monday afternoon, after news of McGee’s death was announced.

Kristen Bell, Brand’s co-star in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, has said she found Brand – who has started dating Katy Perry – to be “respectful” and “very nice” rather than the lothario he’s portrayed to be in the press. “Maybe it’s because I’m as sassy as he is and I drew my line very quickly,“ Kristen explained to Showbiz Spy, “But he was extremely respectful to me. He wants you to believe he’s a womaniser, but all guys secretly are.”

George Michael denies split from Kenny Goss

George Michael has denied rumours that he has split from partner of 13 years Kenny Goss. He branded reports that the couple secretly split last Christmas as “a complete fabrication”. A spokesperson for George told the Mail Online, “There is no truth in the matter at all. Kenny has been away in Dallas where he owns a gallery but is scheduled to return home this Friday. They are planning a lovely weekend together.”

Sadie Bomar told Closer magazine that Justin’s relationship with Jessica Biel has never been serious and his family have always considered him to be single. Timberlake and Biel have been dating for two years (although recent reports link Justin to singer Rihanna) but Bomar has said Justin is too focused on his career to get serious. “Jessica was keen to marry, but Justin isn’t ready.
