They never seemed to get on like a house on fire, and
Liam Gallagher missed the band’s set at V Festival at Chelmsford because of a cold (which many report had more of the symptoms of a hangover), so I don’t think anyone was surprised by the announcement this week that lead guitarist and main songwriter
Noel Gallagher announced he had left Oasis. Noel announced that he left the band as he could no longer work with his brother, Liam. “It’s with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight,” Noel explained in a statement on the band’s website. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer. Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan.” The band, who were in the final dates of a 12-month tour, were due to play at Paris’ Rock en Seine festival on Friday, but cancelled at the last minute.
The Gallaghers have always had a rocky relationship, but recently things seemed to have worsened. Liam admitted in an interview with NME magazine that he rarely spoke to Noel, they no longer travelled together and they only saw each other on stage. “He doesn’t like me and I don’t like him, that’s it.” Liam admitted.

On Monday last week, sources told the Sun that Culkin had donated sperm (two words that shouldn’t go in the same sentence together, Macaulay Culkin and sperm) for Jackson to use to have a child with a surrogate mother. “It is well known Jackson and Macaulay share a unique bond,” the insider told the paper. “Now rumours are spreading like wildfire that Macaulay, who Jackson nicknamed Mack, is actually Blanket’s biological dad. This isn’t just chitter-chatter, even Culkin suspects he’s Blanket’s father.” However, Michelle Bega, Culkin’s spokeswoman, has denied the claims. “The inquiries are too preposterous for us to even acknowledge,” she told TMZ. Lindsay Lohan has been accused of losing £1.5m worth of jewellery lent to her by a Beverly Hills jeweller,

Lindsay is said to have been loaned the jewellery by upmarket store XIV Karats over two months ago but has so far failed to return the items. “Lindsay claimed that they had been stolen from her safe [in last week’s burglary],” a source says. “They’ve disappeared and XIV are not happy about it. The jewels were in Lindsay’s care and they were only on a loaner, they were expected to be returned. If something is not resolved soon there will be legal action taken.” Lindsay’s father Michael waded into the row claiming it was simply a misunderstanding, “Lindsay didn’t take anything from them,” he explained. “They lent her jewellery and she has to give it back to them. She has no intention of keeping any of it. So I guess they’re sorting it out.” Never mind what Michael thinks, we’re so glad we’re not Lindsay Lohan right about now.
