Peter Andre. “I swear on my life I have done no exclusive interviews or comments – neither have my friends to any mag or paper,” Katie wrote. “Nobody can fool the public and I love that.” Katie also stayed true to her word and pulled out of filming Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, although that may have been due to an appointment with her divorce lawyer.

Kylie Minogue has got engaged to her Spanish boyfriend Andres Velencoso, Australia’s courier Mail has reported. Insiders have said the pair are house hunting in Tossa Del Mar near Barcelona, the fishing village where Velencoso’s family hail from, and are due to make an official announcement soon. “I’m happier with him that I have ever been before, you never know, he could be the one,” Kylie reportedly told friends at Cannes last week. Looks like it won’t be a Bridget Jones ending for Ms Minogue then, phew.

Jade Goody’s life could have been saved, a Harley Street consultant told the Daily Mirror this week. Dr Ann Coxon has called for an NHS inquiry after saying that Jade’s cancer was spotted far too late despite Goody having treatment for internal bleeding four times in 2007, following a miscarriage. “If the hospital had made the diagnosis on Jade’s first admission, she would be alive today,” Coxon explained. “On all four of her admissions to hospital, nobody did her smear, nobody looked at her cervix. On her last admission she was told that her ultrasound was normal. It can’t have been.”

Mel Gibson confirmed that he is expecting a child with his Russian girlfriend, Oksana Grigorievea and called himself “Octo-Mel” on the Jay Leno show. Last month Gibson’s wife – and mother of his seven children – Robyn, filed for divorce after 28 years of marriage, claiming ‘irreconcilable differences’. “Our marriage ended three years ago and we’ve been separated ever since,” Mel explained to Leno. “When it’s all said and done, I did a pretty good hatchet job on my marriage myself. I’m to blame. If you’re inclined to judge. Put it here.” This will be his eighth child and the news comes just six weeks after Robyn filed for divorce. Ouch!

Danielle Lloyd needed stitches after being attacked in London nightclub Crystal earlier this week. The Daily Mail reported that Lloyd was thrown on to a table of drinks after being assaulted by two women. “Danielle sustained a serious wound to her back which required stitches on arrival at hospital. The injury to her leg is more serious,” the Wag’s spokesman explained. Police have confirmed two women have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and bailed until July. Our

Mike Tyson has died after suffering a tragic accident in her Phoenix, Arizona home. Exodus Tyson was found on Monday morning on the family’s treadmill with a cable, attached to the machine, wrapped around her neck. Exodus was taken to hospital and placed on life support but was pronounced dead on Wednesday. “There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus,” the boxer’s family said in a statement. Officials believe Exodus was playing near the treadmill at the family’s home when she accidentally fell, her head slipping through the looped cable, which then acted as a noose.
