Brian McFadden demands temporary custody

Brian McFadden demanded ex-wife Kerry Katona give him temporary custody of their children this week, the Sunday Mirror claim. Brian is said to have given Kerry until Thursday 17 September to respond to his legal request or he’d file for full custody of their daughters, Molly, 8, and Lily-Sue, 6. Brian – who it’s believed hasn’t spoken to Kerry since their divorce back in 2006 – made the demand following the News of the World’s video showing Kerry snorting cocaine in her bathroom while the children were present in the house.

Elton John denied adoption

Sir Elton John hopes of adopting a 14-month-old orphan were dashed this week when a Ukranian member of parliament bluntly informed the singer he was too old. During a visit to an orphanage this weekend 62-year-old Elton told the BBC he was keen to adopt a boy named Lev who’d “stolen his heart”. However, Ukrainian authorities were quick to party poop. “Elton John will not be able to adopt a Ukrainian child and if he files that request we will unfortunately deny it,\" said Family, Youth and Sports Minister Yuriy Pavlenko, citing the country’s policy of a maximum age of 45 to adopt. \"The law is the same for everybody: for a president, for a minister, for Elton John.\" What about Madonna?

Sugababes to lose another member?

Sugababe Amelle Berrabah may leave the girl group, bandmate Keisha Buchanan admitted this week. After Amelle went “missing” last week, and was then strangely found in her own home, the tabloids ran more stories about bullying within the band. However, Keisha told the News Of The World that while there was no bullying going on, it wouldn’t surprise her if Amelle did do one. \"Every couple of months it will happen. At certain times there are people thinking they\'re bigger than the band,\" Keisha said.  Now, now girls – can’t you try and pretend that you get on?

Kate Moss strop just a joke

Friends of Kate Moss claimed her very public, and caught on camera, strop at the GQ Awards was just a joke this week. The supermodel made headlines when she stormed out of the event after a joke from James Nesbitt, disrupting a Dizzee Rascal on her way but don’t worry, she was just messing, friends insist. “Kate has a wicked sense of humour. Kate and Lily Allen had already decided to leave the bash straight after dinner and head back to their Claridge\'s hotel suite for a party,” an insider told the Daily Star. “She wanted to wind Dizzee up by butting in and pretending she\'d lost her lipstick. Come on, as if Kate cares! She has thousands of lipsticks!” Isn’t it strange how people will play the “joke” card once they realise they’ve made a complete prat out of themselves?

Kanye West gets owned

Celebrities, and even world leaders, tore into Kanye West this week after his stage invasion and comments during Taylor Swift’s MTV Awards win. Rapper Kanye jumped onstage on Sunday night to tell 19-year-old Taylor – who was just collecting her Best Female video award - how he thought Beyoncé should have won. Pink landed the first blow, tweeting, “Kanye West is the biggest piece of s*** on earth. Quote me!” (Kapow!) Kelly Clarkson then landed a decent combination, “We\'re all curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like s***. I mean, I\'ve seen you do some pretty s***ty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways!\" (Boink!) By the end of the week, everyone was landing shots, even the leader of the Free World. President Barack Obama was overheard calling the singer a “jackass”.  (Ooof!)

Patrick Swayze

Tributes flooded in for actor Patrick Swayze who died this week aged 57, following a two-year fight with pancreatic cancer. \"Patrick was a rare and beautiful combination of raw masculinity and amazing grace. Gorgeous and strong, he was a real cowboy with a tender heart,” Dirty Dancing co-star Jennifer Grey said in a statement. Long time friend Rob Lowe - who like Swayze made his big screen breakthrough in Francis Ford Coppola’s brat pack classic The Outsiders – said,
\"Patrick lived a thousand lifetimes in one lifetime. He was an expert dancer, he wrote hit songs, he starred in hit movies, he was an amazing horseman. But the thing I will remember him most for was his amazing love affair with his wife Lisa.\" Demi Moore, Patrick’s co-star in Ghost, arguably his biggest film, joined the tributes on Twitter. \"Patrick you are loved by so many and your light will forever shine in all of our lives,\" she said. \"I love and will miss you Patrick.\"

Keith Floyd dies

Tributes were also paid to celebrity chef Keith Floyd who died this week following a heart attack at his partner’s home in Dorset. Floyd, known for his groundbreaking 80s cookery shows where he seldom appeared without a wine glass, had been battling bowel cancer since June this year. “What he did to inspire a nation, I don’t know another man who has done what he has done,” Hell’s Kitchen star Marco Pierre White said. This Morning’s resident chef Phil Vickery said, “He didn’t live in the sanitized world of perfect studio cookery, he was out and about, he loved his drink and he loved engaging with other people. I think he was the untitled British gentleman abroad cooking.”

Katie Price: \"celebrity raped me\"

Katie Price dominated the headlines this week, when she claimed she was raped by a well-known celebrity. “A famous celebrity raped me and Peter knows who it was. It was years ago before I was with Pete, and my family and friends knew about it at the time,” Katie wrote in her OK! Magazine column adding that she had “no idea” why Andre is saying he’s unaware of the incident. “He’s not the Pete I knew anymore. He’s being really cruel when he knows exactly who did it.” Meanwhile, Pete has said that Katie’s claims “don’t make sense to him,” the Sun reported. “Once again Katie is saying things that don’t make sense to me,” Andre is said to have told friends. “First she says she was raped, now she’s upping the ante by claiming it was a celebrity. If she has been raped, why didn’t she report it to the police? It’s a very serious matter.” And, with the police said to be considering interviewing Price over her claims - one that seems far from over.

Michelle Williams revealed this week how life has changed following the death of her ex-boyfriend, and father of her child, Heath Ledger. “Because he died – it’s so hard to say it, now that it’s a fact – it’s because of this tragedy that there’s more paparazzi. That is hard to be graceful and understanding about. I tell [the couple’s daughter, Matilda] it’s because people really loved your daddy that they want to take your picture, to know you’re all right.” Michelle told Vogue magazine before discussing how she’s coped with the loss. “Every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at Matilda. I’m falling more and more in love with her.”

Jennifer Aniston denies boob job

Friends star Jennifer Aniston denied she recently having a boob job, Hello! magazine reported this week. It was reported earlier this month that Jen had Macrolane injections to increase her bust by a cup size. “It’s such bulls**t. I normally ignore stories about me because they tend to take on a life of their own that has no connection with me, and I find that, no matter what I say or do, I can’t find a way to correct them,” Jen said. “I think it distracting when some idiot somewhere, who’s annoyed about something for some reason, has created a ridiculous story that I had saline implants over the space of one weekend.” Well said, Jen!
