Alex Reid is worried Katie Price is preparing to dump him, the cage fighter’s ex-girlfriend claimed this week. According to Reid’s ex, Danielle Sims, the cage fighter phoned her and said he was worried Price was leaking stories about him to the tabloids to make the public sympathise with her. “Katie’s stitching me up. She told the papers that I ‘m a cross-dresser to make me look like a freak. I’m sure she did it so that when she dumps me people won’t blame her,” Sims claims Reid told her, before adding, “I didn’t realise she could be so ruthless. I’m just a fly in her trap.” Ummm, he didn’t realise Katie could be so ruthless? Where’s he been the last six months?

Louis Walsh turns down Stephen Gately funeral role
X Factor judge Louis Walsh turned down the offer to speak at Stephen Gately’s funeral this week, saying he doesn’t feel he would be able to cope, The Sun reports. Walsh, who managed Stephen in Boyzone and was also one of his closest friends, missed last Sunday’s live show after the news of the singer’s death. “They asked me to get involved, but I couldn’t stand up,” Louis explained. “I’d breakdown.” Walsh is understood to have pulled out of Saturday’s X Factor show and is undecided about Sunday. Stephen was found dead at his holiday apartment in Majorca last weekend. A post-mortem found he suffered a pulmonary oedema. The funeral will be preceded by a private wake held at Stephen’s family home on Friday.

Pop pixie Kylie Minogue stepped in to defend her little sister this week after her comments about X Factor contestant Danyl Johnson’s sexuality caused uproar. Dannii was forced to make an on-air apology after suggesting that bisexual Danyl didn’t need to change the lyrics to And I Am Telling You to refer to a woman. “I’d like to apologise if I offended anyone,” Dannii explained. “I was joking to Danyl about it before the show and it was not meant to offend anyone, so I apologise for that.” However, big sister Kylie took to Twitter to set the record straight. “Just off the phone with my little sis,” Kylie wrote. “Both she and Danyl are surprised by how much unnecessary attention her innocent comment has garnered.” X Factor producers have confirmed Dannii won’t be sacked for her comment.

Looks like Lady Gaga might be set for a long career in the music industry, and she’s got Madonna’s stamp of approval. “I see myself in Lady Gaga,” she told Rolling Stone magazine this week. “When I saw her, she didn’t have a lot of money for her production. She’s got holes in her fishnets, and there’s mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that IT Factor.” Funny, Madonna’s friendship didn’t help Britney much. Cheryl Cole laughed off claims that she will mime through her X Factor performance this weekend, the Evening Standard reports. The Fight For This Love singer has said that although the performance will be pre-recorded she will be singing live. Show bosses confirmed they didn\'t think Cheryl would have time to flit between her seat on the panel to the stage in time, so encouraged her to pre-record. “I really don’t see the problem. I will be singing live,” Cheryl said. “I just won’t have time to get changed and get prepared for the performance, and be a judge on the show. It would be too hectic. I love performing but I’ve sat for weeks judging people and now I’m putting myself out there to be judged.” Funny though, we swear last year Cheryl judged and had time to change and perform with Girls Aloud. What’s changed? Perhaps the fact that she won’t have her girls with her this time?

Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis has spoken out about her attack on Wednesday, when she was punched by a crazed man during a signing for her new book. Leona was at Waterstones in Piccadilly Circus when witnesses say “a guy came up and punched her to the side of the head.” The 24 year-old said in a statement, “Thank you so much for your support, it is truly overwhelming. Yesterday was a horrible shock and left me extremely hurt and upset. I’m very sorry to those I wasn’t able to meet at the signing. Thank you again for all of the lovely messages. Love to you all.” Metropolitan Police were said to have arrested a man in connection with the incident.
