Brittany Murphys British husband has admitted the drugs found at the scene of his late wifes belonged to him. Clueless star Brittany died suddenly in December last year, and while LAs assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said that her death appears to be natural he also confirmed authorities were looking into her medical history due to the amount of prescriptions drugs found in her home.
However, during an interview with People magazine, Simon Monjack explained that many of the drugs which included Ativan, an anxiety medication, Vicoprofen, a painkiller, Fluoxetine, an antidepressant, Klonopin, a seizure medication, Methylprednisolone, an anti-inflammatory, and Carbamazepine, used to treat diabetes and also bipolar disorder belonged to him. Monjack said that he used the drugs to control his migraines, seizures and a heart condition.
"She was on an antibiotic and was taking cough medicine. No [medications] that could have possibly led to her heart attack," Monjack stated, before admitting to sharing the prescription medications with his wife and her mother Sharon on occasion. The cause of Murphy's death has since been deferred pending the results of a toxicology test.
