Brittany Murphy has died in Los Angeles after suffering a cardiac arrest at home, TMZ reports. Sources claim the 32-year-old actress' mother found Murphy, the star of films such as Clueless, 8 Mile and Happy Feet, unconscious in the shower of her husband's home. After paramedics found her to be suffering a cardiac arrest, she was then rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Despite being given CPR en route to hospital, she was pronounced dead on arrival. "In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support," Brittany's spokesman told press. "It is their wish that you respect their privacy."
