In spite of all the negative publicity Britney Spears looks set to top the US album charts this week after selling 325,000 copies of her new album Blackout in the first week. But before she breaks out the champagne, there is a but. The Eagles, who beat her to No 1 in the UK, are potentially outselling Britney in the US too. But their new album is only available online and in Walmart stores – who don’t report chart sales. A US chart expert said, “If the Eagles were allowed to count all their sales this week, Britney wouldn't be No 1.”
