Britney Spears holidays with Mel Gibson

Britney Spears has been relaxing with friends and family at Mel Gibson’s £13m beachside property in Costa Rica.

Britney Spears has been soaking up the sun with her father Jamie and friends in Costa Rica, as guests of Mel Gibson and his wife Robyn. The Baby One More Time singer and the Apocalypto actor have been close since March, when they were spotted out enjoying dinner together. The pair used to be neighbours when they lived in Malibu, where Mel even asked Britney to sing at his church. Britney and co arrived on the island by private jet last Thursday before driving to the Gibsons' £13m ranch in the coastal resort of Samara. Britney's gang have since been frolicking in the sea - Britney sporting an Ed Hardy bikini - and catching some R&R on the white beaches in the area, although Mel and his wife have not been seen. It is thought Mel reached out to Britney to help keep her out of the media spotlight, following her recent, very public meltdowns.
