Bill Murray has been accused of domestic abuse, abandonment, drug addiction and adultery in divorce papers by his wife of nine years, Jennifer. In the papers Murray is said to have “hit his wife in the face and then told her she was 'lucky he didn't kill her,'” before going on to request an order restraining him from Jennifer’s home. She moved out in 2006 with the couple’s children due to his, “adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment.” The proceedings also seek to determine if the couple’s pre nup, which only entitles Jennifer to a one off payment of £3.5m is still valid. The couple have so far refused to comment on proceedings.
