BBC dismiss Strictly scandal

Reports that Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ricky Whittle will have an unfair advantage on this year's have been dismissed.
The BBC have denied reports that Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ricky Whittle will have an advantage over his fellow celebrities. In February the actor appeared on BBC One's Let's Dance For Comic Relief alongside fellow Hollyoaks castmembers in routine put together by Strictly choreographer Richard Marcel. "Not only has the Beeb failed to mention that Ricky is already a very good dancer, but they've kept quiet that he's even worked with Strictly's choreographer in the past,” a source claimed. "Under Marcel's guidance, he put in a stunning performance. It's really unfair as all the contestants are supposed to be total novices." However, the BBC have denied Whittle has one up on his dance rivals. "Ricky took part in Let's Dance but it was not Latin or ballroom and he trained for just 15 hours,” a spokesman explained. “Some of Strictly's contestants have some limited dance experience but none are professional dancers."
