The Hollywood hunk, who was born in Wales and grew up in Bournemouth, has become used to playing the American character of Bruce Wayne in the Batman franchise.
Christian took up the role of the caped crusader in Batman Begins and is currently filming Dark Knight, the film's sequel.
The method actor has starred in numerous movies whereby he has had to adopt an American twang, such as the Machinist, American Psycho and his current classic western with Russell Crowe, 3:10 to Yuma.
Christian explained: 'I'm in a in a very schizophrenic position now where I feel as natural speaking American as I do English.
'It took a really long time for my English accent to come back again. It's a matter of your muscles changing and if you're doing something for ten months, your mouth changes completely.'
