Angelina Jolie has applied to adopt a baby girl from Syria, the Daily Mail reports. Jolie is already a mother-of-six children - Maddox, 8, Pax Thien, 5, and Zahara, 4, were all adopted while Shiloh, 3, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 1, are her biological children - and insiders say her application has angered her partner, Brad Pitt. "He has made it clear that six children are more than he can handle,” a source says. “The idea of one more seemed ludicrous, but Angie is determined to complete her rainbow family." The Daily Mail adds a spokesman for the Immigration And Naturalisation Service in Washington DC has confirmed Jolie is going it alone with her application, saying, "Only Angelina's name was on the adoption papers".
Meanwhile, Angelina’s father Jon Voight has confirmed he is once again in contact with his daughter. The pair famously fell out in 2002 when during an interview Voight said Angelina had “serious mental problems”.
"We're in touch, but not regularly,” Voight explained to Us Weekly magazine before adding. "We love each other and that's the most important thing."
