Pictures of a skinny Amy Winehouse have caused shock and concern and even led her mother-in-law to tell imprisoned husband Blake to divorce her. The shots in question were taken on Sunday in Henley while Amy and friends took a break from a recording session. Speaking to the News Of The World Blake’s mum Georgette said, “I’ve told him he should divorce Amy now and start a new life with Sarah Thomas. She's his best buddy and has been extremely supportive. Amy's a mess,” before adding, “I've told him if he goes back to her she will lead him to an early grave.” Even Amy’s supporters have damned her shock new look. Perez Hilton, a friend and early champion of Amy’s in the US said, “Not only does Amy Winehouse have a serious drug addiction, but, by the look of things, she's also still clearly battling an eating disorder. A 24-year-old's body is not supposed to look like that!”
In other Winehouse news it’s been reported that Amy and Pete Doherty are set to release a duet. Sources have told the Daily Star that Amy has been working on songs with Babyshambles guitarist Mick Whitnall for the single. “Mick and Amy have a great relationship. They have been working on material while I was in prison,” Pete explained. “When I came out I went straight to the recording studio. I just want to get going.”
Whatever they say, we still love Amy’s fashion style and we’re not the only ones. Julien MacDonald has said he is keen to get the troubled singer to model the top gown in his London Fashion Week collection. “She’s an amazing talent,” he told the Metro. “We are always busy working on fashion week. She’s an incredible person, who is just very unique and has a great style. She is just so different.” Paris Hilton closed the show for the Welsh designer in 2006 while Naomi Campbell got the honour in 2007.
