Amy Winehouse will not be facing charges over an incident at this year’s Glastonbury festival police have confirmed. During her Pyramid Stage performance on Saturday the singer jumped down into the security pit while singing Rehab and appeared to turn on a member of the audience and punch them. “No complaint has yet been made but when one is we will investigate the matter fully,” said Inspector John Fuller of Somerset and Avon Police. However, a spokesman for Amy played down the incident and said she was simply, “lashing out when someone tried to grab her hair.” The BBC meanwhile have spoken to James Gostelow, a 25-year-old music fan who claims he was the audience member struck by Amy. “I saw a hat being thrown from behind me and it hit Amy's beehive. She looked down, saw me looking up, and her elbow went for me,” he explained. “She caught my forehead, then someone may have shouted something from the back, which is when she went in again. It is all part of the Glastonbury experience.”
