Pete Doherty has posted videos of himself and Amy Winehouse handing baby mice to his YouTube page. In a clip called Winemouse, uploaded last week, Amy and Pete - who are currently recording together - are seen holding a box of tiny baby mice up to the camera. Amy puts on a high-pitched voice and sends a message to her imprisoned husband Blake, pleading, "Blake, please don't divorce Mummy." A second video was posted a few days later, showing the pair again playing with the mice, and Pete putting on a French accent. Both videos have attracted many negative comments, such as "Ahhhhh. So cute, like watching a car crash," and "You make me sad. You threw your talent away Amy."The Royal Society For The Protection Of Cruelty To Animals (RSPCA) have said that handling young mice could lead to their mother rejecting them. A spokeswoman told Sky News, "New born babies should be undisturbed, and with their mother - smell is critical for small rodents. It's because the babies will be contaminated by human smells and the mother could reject or eat them."
Explaining the reason for the video, Pete told BBC News, ""One of the mice gave birth, didn't it? I think it was Jennifer. She was really fond of them."
Meanwhile Glastonbury organisers have confirmed that Amy Winehouse will play at this year's festival. She will appear on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, just before headliner Jay-Z.
